Ray Cantrell is Chris' father and primary team owner. His only hobby is racing. His favorite downtime activity is riding on his John Deere tractor pulling a bushhog behind him. Fortunate for him, he has acres and acres of fields in which to ride! He has now upgraded to an enclosed cab so he can ride in the heat of the summer without passing out. Ray is a 10 year survivor of a major heart attack and near sudden cardiac death. He encourages everyone to know all the symptoms of a heart attack, especially the lesser known ones.
Charles Samuel Douglas, a/k/a Chuckie, is a valuable member of the Canco Motorsports team and is known and loved by everyone at the track. He's the guy that you really miss when he's not around, and we have gotten to experience just how much we miss him recently. Chuckie has been on temporary leave from the crew due to colon cancer, but is recovering and doing well. We are looking forward to Chuckie being back with the team very soon!
Our crew cheif Mike Burtell, a/k/a Mikey (or Jesse as Chris calls him). Other than his mad machanical skills, Mikey is also an entire library full of mostly useless facts.
Charles Bell & Fred
Pictured here with Fred, the shop dog, is Charles Bell. Charles has been a friend of the family for more years than any of us want to remember. He is also the team's truck driver and parts runner. He can be found at the shop almost every day dispensing sage wisdom while perched on his rocking chair. Things aren't much different at the track, with the exception of his chair. One of the things that we value most about Charles is that he is always prepared for any weather event, and shares everything he has with the rest of the crew.
Meet Brian Green (BB). One of the newest, but very dedicated crew members. BB keeps us very entertained while working hard on the car!
